Position Summary
Design Engineers prepare suitable, cost-effective severe service control valve designs by performing the essential duties listed below.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures, solve problems, run calculations, perform design reviews, and conduct meetings
  • Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
  • Analyzes technology trends, costs, and deadlines to plan projects.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Advises management of problems or ideas which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
  • Provides direction, training, and example for new and beginning engineers
  • Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve products and develops recommendations accordingly.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Must have knowledge of Design software and Manufacturing software.
  • Perform stress analysis using classical strength of materials.
  • Good knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, control systems as applicable to process industries required.
  • Minimum MS Office, basic programming skills.
  • Solidworks, AutoCAD, Finite Element, and/or MK database a plus.
  • Knowledge of ASME is a plus

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
