Located in Hinton, Calgary, and Fort St. John, we have grown to employ over 350 employees and service Western Canada.


We are looking for a Quality Control Inspectors for our SE fabrication shop (8700 Venture Ave SE) for all shifts:


  • day (Monday-Thursday, 6am-4.30pm)
  • night (Monday-Thursday, 4.30pm - 3am)
  • weekend (Friday-Sunday, 12-hour shifts)

Requirements

SCOPE

  • Dimension and visual inspection of welded piping and vessels and structural steel
  • Recording welders symbols, heat numbers and radiography numbers on drawings and travel sheets
  • Prepare documentation for, and inspect hydrostatic & pneumatic pressure tests
  • P & ID Check & walk-down
  • Installation of name plates
  • Coordination of inspections with ABSA, NDE Contractors and Client TPI's
  • Other miscellaneous Quality Control paperwork


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Located in the Shepard Industrial Park, not transit-accessible
  • You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present
  • Primarily inside shop work, some outside work may be required


QUALIFICATIONS

  • CWB Level 1 Certification
  • Minimum 2 years previous Quality Control experience
  • CSTS-09 ticket
  • Overhead crane training is an asset
  • Experience in welding and ASME equipment and piping an asset
  • A good understanding of ASME and CSA codes and practices
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multitasking, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to use tools and equipment safely and abide by the health and safety rules
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow all safe work practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Follow existing work standards and look for further improvements
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently in a fast paced production environment
  • Detail-oriented
