CRC-Evans Pipeline International / Stanley Oil & Gas - CRC-Evans is the world’s largest group of pipeline construction and inspection companies. Over the past 85 years we have provided equipment, services, and technology for more than 95,000 kilometers of onshore and offshore pipeline in over 100 countries. Our facility in Zeewolde (the Netherlands) services our customers in Europe and across the Globe. Here we refurbish our Welding and Pipeline equipment, repair contractors' own CRC equipment, develop and qualify Welding procedures and provide training for technicians and welders. With our expertise, large equipment fleet and warehouse of spare parts, consumables and welding wire we can quickly satisfy the project requirements of our clients.

For CRC-Evans in the Netherlands (Zeewolde) we are looking for a Project Manager.

Function description

Job Purpose
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating assigned projects for CRC-International while ensuring service levels to clients as per agreed contract. Responsible for project preparation, execution and completion works as per the agreed contract and company standards, thereby ensuring that service levels are achieved, and projects are run within budget, on time, at the highest quality and safety standards.


Main Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages projects from beginning to end, ensuring successful execution in line with company’s management system. Tracks project milestones and deliverables.
  • Creation, development and implementation of project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Coordination of development and implementation of project documentation in accordance with MDR
  • Prepares and maintains project schedule.
  • Reviews cost budget and delivers against margin expectations.
  • Actively identifies additional revenue opportunities or potential margin erosion and act accordingly.
  • Prepares and submits all project-based data, records and reports.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Coordination (in consultation with the Director Projects and Field Service group) of field personnel assigned to the project in corporation with the Field Service group. Manages the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Daily liaison with site management, escalating concerns and issues to the Director Projects if needed.
  • Daily liaison with the Client to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Attend monthly Client meetings at client offices (worldwide).
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Lead the compilation, distribution and control of End of Shift (EOS) and Daily Progress Reports (DPR’s).
  • Compilates, distributes and controls the Weekly and Monthly Operations Reports for both internal and external use.
  • Conducts project close out meetings and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Contact with operations team and/or supervision to ensure all timesheets are accurate and submitted before pre-determined deadlines.
  • Ensures the highest level of Health Safety Standards are adhered at all times and assist with the implementation and management of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Services.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Operational management of assigned project team.
  • Bi-weekly (or more frequently if required) reports to the Director Projects on project preparation/execution status, risks and opportunities, safety, schedule and budget versus costs.


Skills & Competences
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree for example in the area of Mechanical Engineering or Project Management.
  • Work experience in a similar function and preferably experience within the Pipeline Industry.
  • Experience in project related activities in non-European countries
  • Commercial awareness and client relationship management
  • Experience in People Management, Financial budgeting and cost management
  • Be able to motivate, coach and supervise
  • Reactive and competent in working to deadlines and timeframes
  • Willingness to travel abroad and work on project sites (worldwide, on-and offshore) for extended periods of time (4-16 weeks)
  • Capable of passing offshore medical and survival courses
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal)
  • Respecting cultural differences and act flexible as required for global operations.
