GB Connections is a leading supplier of connections for oil country tubular goods (OCTG). We have an opening in our office for an Inside Sales & Operations Specialist who will support our customers by tracking orders, engaging vendors, and also spending time ensuring invoicing & AR/AP is accurate and timely and serving as a backup for QA/QC engineering. The ideal candidate will have relevant OCTG knowledge and complimentary education and can fit in with an intelligent group of engineers and business professionals. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Inside Sales/Operations

  • Work directly with vendors and customers to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Issue RFQs to vendors and issue quotes to customers to secure sales.
  • Issue fabrication orders, purchase orders, sales orders, and material releases.
  • Assist in year-end physical inventory count and go on-site as needed for inventory counts.
  • Utilize learned knowledge of the Company’s IP to ensure product accuracy in the following functions:
  • Review and approve vendor records of incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Review and approve generated AR and AP invoices, sales order acknowledgements, and fabrication orders issued by operations staff.
  • Engage in document control for inventory, purchases, sales, etc.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

  • Draft and issue sales invoices
  • Approve and enter incoming payables invoices

QA/QC Backup

  • Go on-site to:
  • Ensure threading and coupling shops adhere to procedures established in GBC’s spec book.
  • Investigate when a QA/QC problem arises.
