As an Oilfield Laborer & Rig Hand you will assist with many different manual labor tasks, including maintaining and repairing equipment and tools, operating machinery, cleaning up around sites, and performing other duties as assigned. Must be able to:
Safely work in any environment and follow all safety procedures
Perform vehicle maintenance and inspections on various types of equipment
Install and repair piping, valves, pumps, motors, and more
Properly use PPE
Move and lift heavy objects
Operate vehicles and other heavy machinery
Effectively communicate with team and supervisors
Climb ladders and scaffolding
Provide basic maintenance on various tools and equipment
Clean and maintain the sites
Operate various types of equipment
Take direction and complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Assists in rigging up and down
Responsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up/down (i.e. removing horse head from pumping unit)
Responsible for all work performed related to servicing of the well including rod basket and tubing board (transferring rods and tubing from the vertical racks to the elevator)
Assists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting tubing between rack and work floor
Ensures work is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations
May be required to work floors, derricks or operate the rig when needed
Performs PPE, fall protection, fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required
Pulls and lays down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed. At times, lifting of equipment may require the use of a forklift, winch, or assistance of other crew members
Participates in Job Safety Analysis and tail gate meetings as scheduled
Responsible for keeping work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order
Assists in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
Successfully performs elevator handling, hardline construction, and energy isolation procedures
Reports all incidents to immediate supervisor
Drives company vehicles and equipment as necessary. (driver license and clean driving record required)
Performs all other duties assigned
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships as part of a team
Willing and able to continuously increase knowledge, skills and abilities
Can work flexible schedules and overtime as required
Can perform in outdoor working environments in extreme temperatures and conditions
Must provide proof of right to work in the United States, have a clean driving record and ability to pass a drug test
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The job operates in an outside environment. The role routinely works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.
The employee may also be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud depending upon the location.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk; feel, grasp, reach, climb, balance and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell; and lift more than 70 pounds.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding track record of success in a workover rig environment and in operating heavy equipment while ensuring good communication skills are effective and complying with all safety polices to ensure the team is always working in safe conditions.
This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
CDL
H2S, Forklift/Manlift, and CPR/1st Aid
Any other heavy equipment licenses or certifications
