Full Job Description

Rogers Machinery is seeking a qualified, outgoing individual for a position as Corporate Inside Sales – Portland Oregon with some travel within North America reporting directly to the Director of Global Sales. Long-term plan for this role will lead to an Outside – Regional Manager Position for the right candidate.

  • Rogers Machinery Company, Inc. manufactures Rogers KNW Series oil-free air compressors and K Series oil lubricated air compressors and vacuum pumps.

This Corporate Inside Sales role is responsible for supporting inquiries in the assigned area. Sales channels include distributors, engineering firms, contractors, and direct sales to end users.

Essential Functions

  • Working with consulting and specifying engineering firms.
  • Working with authorized distributors.
  • Sales opportunity detection.
  • Order Entry.
  • Building customer relationships.
  • New sales channel development.
  • Follow order through production process.
  • Producing year over year sales growth.
  • Identify research and secure new business opportunities, utilizing prospecting skills and community/business networking to quote projects, increase revenue and improve margins. Follow the sales cycle from beginning to end including initial contact; client needs analysis, development of proposals and presentations, and obtaining purchase orders.
  • Develop sales strategy in concert with business plans, utilizing a strategic planning process that encompasses company, market, and industry trends to ensure coordination of efforts to achieve goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with engineer firms, distributors, mechanical contractors, and end users.
  • Identify and coordinate industry related trade shows to increase company and brand awareness and prospect potential clients.
  • Utilize customer database system for account management and reporting.
  • Overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree is preferred but demonstrated industry sales success will also be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years inside and/or outside sales experience of capital equipment.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Technical expertise in compressed air or rotating machinery.
  • Sales experience calling on mechanical contractors, distributors, and consulting engineers.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and possess strong selling skills, integrity, and drive for success.
  • Proven selling ability & PC skills are required. Prior experience utilizing sales tools for lead generation. Familiar with MS Office.
  • This is a technical position and an ability to learn, understand and competently communicate compressor features and benefits is required.
  • Excellent customer follow-up, attention to detail, organization and efficient time management skills are required.

Compensation:

This is a Salaried Exempt Position. The successful candidate has the potential to earn with no earning limitations. Your salary will be based on your motivation to succeed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
