Local Unit & Position Description

Brief Team and Position Summary

DNV GL – Business Assurance group is seeking an Inside Sales Representative. This position is based out of our Katy office.

This is an inside sales position responsible for business development and new sales to existing clients for DNVGL's Management Systems Registration Services. This position is included in the Business Assurance sales incentive program.

Tasks May Include
  • Ensure DNV GL Business Assurance visibility within internal and external clients and customers, managing customer relationship to improve retention, handling and monitoring customer feedback and complaints
  • Follow-up on opportunities, quotes, and contracts utilizing ERM software
  • Negotiate and close contracts following internal requirements and procedures
  • At all times, ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Interact with other areas of the organization with the objective to achieve sales targets
  • Create, promote, and foster a working environment whereby all sales personnel participate in the improvement of sales processes for the District
  • Follow HSE and HR requirements, as well as follow code of conduct and Purpose, Vision, and Values of DNV GL
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Position Qualifications

  • Associates degree required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ business-to-business sales experience required
    • At least 2 years' inside sales experience of GFSI standards, the ISO 9001 / 14001 certification process, or other experience selling services ideal (Preferred)
    • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% per year, primarily to trade shows and conferences
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
