Role Summary\:

As the HR Data Governance Leader, you are responsible for driving the strategy and execution of HR data governance across all HR Technologies.  You will maintain and operationalize governance framework ensuring data is properly and consistently managed across entire HR technology ecosystem.  You will implement data standards and measurable KPIs and provide guidance for the timely, compliant and accurate design and deployment of data solutions partnering across functions with Digital Technology, Legal and Compliance.

Essential Responsibilities\:   In the role of HR Data Governance Leader, you will\: 
  • Influential thought leadership to facilitate strong engagement of standards surrounding data ownership and data stewardship
  • Develop and strengthen existing HR data control structures to ensure data accuracy and quality across all systems including Workday
  • Lead resolution of all HR data integrity gaps working with business owners, Digital Technology, Compliance and Legal
  • Assess data governance issues related to data and analytics value creation across the organization
  • Strong understanding of standards and processes in Workday and ERPs such as SAP and Oracle
  • Define and deliver HR data management strategy assessments and implementation roadmap strictly complying with GDPR rules
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
  • Partner with Digital Technology to implement and support data security technologies particularly Data Lake and Workday
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
  • Establish clear KPIs to measure and evaluate HR data quality
  • Gets others excited about and committed to furthering the organizations objectives; can translate the vision in tangible and meaningful outcomes; addresses governance issues head-on and promotes creation when problem-solving
  • Sees ahead clearly, anticipates future trends accurately, provides broad perspectives, and draws credible pictures and visions of possibilities and opportunities 
Qualifications/Requirements\: 
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college in related area (OR High School Diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Data Governance in a leadership capacity)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Governance in a leadership capacity 
Desired Characteristics\:  
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and demonstrated skills to develop models and drive analyses
  • Deep knowledge of data governance practices, GDPR, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a horizontal environment/org structure, resolve conflicts, prioritize and manage ambiguity
  • Clear understanding or HR Data impacts across various business processes and systems
  • Functional knowledge of Workday HR modules including Core HR, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent Management
  • Previous experience in HR Operations, HR Technologies or HR Reporting
  • Experience with the following\: Workday, Tableau, Regulatory Reporting Requirements, SOX and Compliance Requirements
  • Customer Driven focuses on employee experience and uses data and feedback to deliver best in class technology and solutions
  • Relationship curator shapes constructive working relationships, builds rapport and respect by active listening, negotiation and discussion
  • Organizational navigator uses knowledge of organizational structure and business to identify and prevent conflicts and understands how roles, products and services relate to HR technology
