I am currently working with Saudi Aramco to find candidates from Europe, Canada and America to fill a 15-month contract for a drilling supervisor based in Saudi Arabia.

As drilling supervisor, you will:

  • supervise all operations performed on the Saudi Aramco wells as well as provide training and evaluation for the Saudi Aramco trainees.
  • Use your expertise to advise on issues including the alternative methods of resolving defects of equipment.
  • Ensure that all contractors maintain the rig and adhere to safety rules and regulations.

A successful candidate will have

  • BS in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with ten (10) years of experience in drilling engineering and operations or High School Degree or equivalent with ten (10) years’ experience in Drilling Engineering and Operations.
  • Skills and expertise in deviated drilling, offshore jack up drilling and drilling in high pressure / high temperature wells as deep as 17,000 feet with heavy mud weights as high as 165 PCF in high H2S concentrations of 20%.
  • H2S/HEUT.
  • IADC or be willing to complete the certification before starting the role.
