We are looking for a completion engineer to support our base business completion campaign. Whilst in this role they will be responsible for the planning and execution of the well, this will include:
- Working with the asset team to lock down the well design.
- Developing the well path and completion design.
- Working with third parties to ensure that all equipment is identified and ordered
- Identifying and implementing performance improvement opportunities
- Writing programs and submitting permits and regulatory paperwork when required.
- Supporting the well throughout the operational phase
- Closing out the well - writing end of well report, capturing lessons learnt and improvement opportunities.
These roles will be well planning, completion engineering roles. The work will be for a current platform drilling campaign but there is also potential for the engineer(s) to perform planning work for future subsea wells. Typical, well planning work scopes include working with the asset/subsurface team to meet planning milestones/project deliverables, well design, time and cost estimate generation, leading risk assessments and peer reviews, procedure and permit preparation, operational support during execution and post-execution look back/wash-up. The candidates must be able to work in collaborative, team environments as there are many interface requirements.
Ideally we would like the candidates to have knowledge of North Sea operations, be familiar with landmark engineering packages such as Wellplan and Wellcat valid well control certificate. Platform and subsea experience would also be beneficial, including a knowledge of Artificial Lift Systems.
The engineer should have 8 - 10 years completion engineering experience and have degree level qualifications.
