Position: Civil Engineer
Duration: 2 year Fixed Term Contract, with the possibility of extension
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits package
Opportunity to act as a Technical Authority on all Civil Engineering activities for our bulk fuel operations Client.
This would suit an individual interested in gaining exposure to the Oil & Gas sector with the support of an experienced team around you.
Some knowledge/experience of fuel storage tanks, bunds, drainage, Reinforced Concrete etc would be a distinct advantage for this role.
Some key elements to the role -
Responsibility for a number of Civil Engineering activities within projects and/or engineering works at any one time
Overseeing professional contract engineers who conduct engineering activities on the There will be a need to build clients assets.
Build strong credible working relationships with all internal stakeholders and in particular HSEQ, other Engineering colleagues as well as with external stakeholders including external contractors and relevant authorities.
Ensure Civil Engineering Projects are completed and are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.
You will be a key contributor to the improvement of project management systems, procedures and workflows.
Plan and manage the programme of works for Civil Engineering Projects in line with company standards and relevant and UK / European legislation.
Civil Engineering degree
Working knowledge of COMAH, MOC, and CDM regulations.
Previous experience of working within MAH environments.
Previous experience of managing multiple site works.
Previous experience of tank farm/bund projects
