Job Role Summary


Each year ExxonMobil hires a number of outstanding candidates as accountants and financial analysts. We are currently seeking individuals with public accounting, financial analysis or consulting background for available accounting and financial analyst positions in the Corpus Christi Area. These professional positions are a vital part of the Finance organization supporting one of ExxonMobil's operated joint ventures which focuses on financial accounting, business analysis and stewardship integrity.

Job Role Responsibilities


  • Analysis and reporting of financial and business operating results to identify drivers, variances and improvement opportunities; developing insights to drive business decisions and ensuring financial transactions are in compliance with related contracts 
  • Utilizing and updating computing systems to accurately record financial transactions
  • Act as financial advisor to business unit operating management on cost stewardship controls, and/or financial processes 
  • Act as primary contact for business field operations team to HQ Controllers support service functions 
  • Coordination of a business unit's financial plan, operating forecast and/or capital budget 
  • Improving financial and accounting processes 
  • Supporting audits of internal business functions and external business partners 
  • Preparing various stewardship deliverables and senior management packages 
  • Promoting consistency and sharing best practices

Required Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge


  • Bachelor’s degree required.  A degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s) in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years accounting, financial analysis or consulting experience 
  • Appreciation for, and fostering of, an inclusive and diverse work environment 
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of MS Office with strong familiarity and previous utilization of Excel, Power BI and Dashboards
  • Ability to learn accounting systems (SAP knowledge or previous utilization preferred) and other analytic tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
