Position Overview: This position is to develop relationships with existing clients while also developing new clients for Loenbro. Our business is currently focused on the Oil & Gas market with a desire to also expand to other markets such as mining, power, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and agribusiness. We need a skilled Business Developer to acquire and manage new client relationships in a seller/doer model. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing. This person will also have strong project management skills and the ability to estimate projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with our clients, negotiating contracts and closing deals. Once the deals are closed, manage the project. We will rely on you to develop a strategic business development plan. Travel throughout the Northern United States is required for this position. This position will be based in one of our offices in North Dakota and travel thru out this area.

Job Duties:

  • Know, abide, and participate in Loenbro’s safety program
  • Identify potential clients in the target markets and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business and equipment needs
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
  • Develop contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
  • Maintain a daily process report for contacts and help establish project priorities; input all business contacts and opportunities into Sales Force
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to include Project Management once new opportunities are brought under contract

Potential Hazards:

  • Outside part/most of every working day
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
  • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility

Essential Requirements:

  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
    • Walking on uneven terrain
    • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel
    • Use of respirator if position requires
    • Driving if required to travel
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
