WHAT ROLE WILL YOU PLAY IN OUR TEAM

Finance is a strategic partner who provides value focused insights and advice to our global organization. Roles in our finance career path oversee our complex finances, mitigate risk, and keep ExxonMobil licensed to operate in terms of controls and financial integrity and help grow and add value to the business.

Our Business Analysts work closely with ExxonMobil’s business lines and financial functions to prepare, analyze and understand internal and external financial reports. Their problem solving mindset is utilized to reach their ultimate goal - to maximize the value of the Corporation’s diverse portfolio and identify further opportunities to grow the business.
 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze and explain the business actions that drive the financial and operating results and trends of our vast global operations using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Use your analytical capabilities to extract business insights to support Business Management with better decision making - turning data into actionable insights, that will directly impact profitability
• Collaborate with others to provide meaningful analytical reports to Business teams in partnership with colleagues around the world
• Build knowledge of end-to-end business processes, systems and tools
• Report the financial data that will be reflected in ExxonMobil Corporation’s published external results
• Join our Digital Innovation Program and drive digital innovation with involvement in exciting process transformation and improvement initiatives
• Participate in our Financial & Accounting Training program to further master your skills
• Participate in various site wide initiatives, including charity efforts, inclusion & diversity events, or networks to develop and grow your leadership skills

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
• Completed studies in Business, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Taxation or equivalent
• A few years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated analytical and problem- solving skills
• Solid understanding of financial, accounting and reporting fundamentals
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Interest in long term career opportunities and willingness to learn and grow to progress your career and expand your responsibilities
• Interest to develop knowledge in the digital and innovation space
• Continuous Improvement mindset to develop, implement, and sustain best practices to ensure superior service delivery and accuracy
