Full - Time Regular
APAC Technical Sales Manager based in Australia. The position will support the Sales Division.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with customers to prepare solutions tailored to the market needs.
  • Prepares and presents technical – commercial proposals.
  • Handles assigned accounts and key customer relationships
  • Identifies new product opportunities and development strategies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in Rod Lift Systems (Beam Pump Units, Progressive Cavity Pumps, Hydraulic Lift, Rod Pumps, plunger lift, automation)
  • Provides skilled level support, key field product application, well prognosis, and/or completion product performance.
  • Investigates unsatisfactory equipment performance to determine root cause and preventative action
  • Measures product performance and recommends design modifications to existing products.
  • Tracks prototype applications, field test results, and new product market introductions.
  • Performs customer technical training and presentations.
  • Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues.
  • Leads engineering/technical position in regional area.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.
  • Travel to field/shop for special projects and/or supervision as required.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes, a GE company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes core values..
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (Physics, Computer Science, Electrical)
  • 7 years in the Oil Field industry.
  • 5 years in Rod Pump Systems
  • 3 years in sales and/or account management
  • 3 years in dewatering applications
  • Proficiency with PCP/Rod pump sizing software.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience doing multiple sizing's per month for customer base.
  • Exceptional product knowledge and industry experience.
  • Thorough understanding of down-hole hydraulics and rig operations.
  • Proficient use of computer based programs related to application of products.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent MS Office skills with Advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Other Details:
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.
  • International relocation will be considered
