TGS provides multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas Exploration and Production companies worldwide.  In addition to extensive global geophysical and geological data libraries that include multi-client seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data and directional surveys, the company also offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products and data integration solutions. TGS is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of approximately USD 2.5 billion.

This position is responsible for Group accounting, external financial reporting, Group tax, liaison with auditors and advisors on accounting and tax. The position is responsible for TGS' compliance with regulations related to the consolidated financials (IFRS) and is a key resource on corporate finance activities like due diligence issues, M&As; and other special financial events. The position is located at the Group’s financial headquarter in Asker, reports to CFO and is part of the corporate finance management team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • managing the Group accounting center
  • responsible for preparing TGS’ consolidated financial statements in accordance with relevant regulations
  • responsible for TGS’ accounting policies and procedures
  • accountable for continuously updating and improving TGS’ financial policies and procedures 
  • responsible for corporate tax issues, tax policies, tax support for the business and general tax risk management
  • interaction with the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee in relation to accounting and tax topics
  • secretary for the Audit Committee
  • key resource on corporate finance activities like due diligences, M&As;, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • master degree in Finance/Business, preferably with a focus on Accounting/Auditing
  • minimum of seven years of experience from a similar position, and from the auditing profession
  • management experience
  • experience from international tax
